Candles burn in the small park where Japanese tourist Ryo Izaki was shot dead in the Colombian city of Medellin. The 22-year-old was staying at this hostel when he was killed. Officials say he resisted when robbers attacked him and was shot as a result. The hostel owner says Ryo arrived on Saturday and had gone out to buy food when he was attacked. Police are studying security camera footage which they say may help to identify the suspects. Medellin is Colombia's second-largest city best known as the home of a notorious drug cartel which flourished during the eighties and nineties.
