Concrete barriers surround the Berlin Christmas market as it reopens Thursday. Visitors pay their respects -- 12 people were killed here earlier this week in a truck attack -- with the suspect still at large. But the Christmas spirit goes on. Huts selling traditional sausages, mulled wine, gingerbread and Christmas gifts have reopened. An effort to find normalcy in the wake of the attack. But there is tightened security -- in Christmas markets and Christmas events across Europe. A grim reminder of new threats amid a time when many look for gratitude, thanks and goodwill.
