The bodies of four migrants were found floating off the coast of southern Spain Saturday. Spanish media reported a boat carrying approximately 21 migrants had gone missing on Friday. Spanish news channel Canal Sur said one of the deceased migrants was a Sub-Saharan African male, whilst the other was described as being Arab. A woman was also amongst the victims, Canal Sur said. On Friday, the body of a migrant was found in Tarifa, southern Spain. That brings the total number of bodies found over two days to five. Thousands of people risk their lives every year trying to reach Europe in dinghies and fragile boats. 2016 was the deadliest year on record for migrants in the Mediterranean. The International Organisation for Migration say almost 5,000 died last year.
