ROUGH CU. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Outlining her plans for Brexit, the UK's Prime Minister Theresa May said she will deliver on controlling immigration. Speaking to an audience of foreign diplomats and Britain's own Brexit negotiating team, May said the result of the referendum was not a decision to turn inward and retreat from the world, because Britain's history and culture is profoundly internationalist. Stressing the UK's openness and tolerance, May also make it clear that she will control the number of people coming to Britain from Europe. May has said she would start two years of talks on leaving the bloc by the end of March. May's government has come under fire from investors, businesses and lawmakers for so far revealing little about the future relationship she will seek when she begins formal divorce talks. The Brexit talks, which are expected to be one of the most complicated negotiations in post-World War Two European history, could decide the fate of her premiership, the United Kingdom and even the future shape of the European Union.
