ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) General James Mattis was sworn in as the new U.S. defense secretary at the Pentagon on Friday (January 27). He'll serve under new U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. After Mattis was sworn in, Trump signed an executive order that will limit immigration and refugees from some Muslim-majority countries and he separately said he wanted the United States to give priority to Syrian Christians fleeing the civil war there. The details of the order were not immediately available but were expected to be released by the White House later on Friday.
