ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Thousands rallied in Moscow's Pushkinskaya Square in protest on Sunday (March 26), after the opposition urged people to take to the streets to demonstrate against corruption and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Police arrested several demonstrators at the beginning of the rally as scuffles erupted, one of which was holding a poster reading "Putin 666". Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was detained on Moscow's Tverskaya Street shortly after he arrived for the rally. The opposition leader was put in a police truck. The Kremlin said on Friday (March 24) that plans to hold a protest in the centre of Moscow were an illegal provocation.
