A truck has ploughed into a department store in central Stolkholm, killing at least 4 people and injuring over a dozen others. Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven has said the country has been attacked and that everything indicates that this is an act of terrorism. Local police have so far arrested one person. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility. The incident occurred on one of the city's major pedestrian streets, just before 3 p.m. local time. Part of central Stockholm was cordoned off, with all public transport halted on police orders. Several attacks in which trucks or cars have driven into crowds have taken place in Europe in the past year.
