Kabul residents say they have security fears after a deadly blast killed at least 80 people in the heart of the Afghan capital. Samantha Vadas reports.

The blast on Wednesday (May 31) ripping through a busy intersection in the heart of the capital, killing at least 80 people and wounding hundreds. Residents say they fear for their safety. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) AFGHAN SHOEMAKER, GHULAM SAKHI, SAYING: "What is happening to this country? These inefficient leaders have destroyed our people. People leave their homes to fetch a loaf of bread for their children and later that evening, their dead bodies is sent back to their families." The powerful truck bomb tore through a traffic clogged street packed with people near the German embassy. This TV station one of the many buildings left in ruins after the explosion blew off the studio's doors and shattered glass. In a televised video message, the Afghan president condemned the attack, which authorities blame on a Taliban-affiliated network.
