Authorities say attackers drove a speeding van into pedestrians on London Bridge before stabbing people in nearby Borough Market, an area of bars and restaurants. Seven people were reportedly feared killed and two attackers shot dead by police near London Bridge. The attacks come days ahead of a June 8 election and less than two weeks after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester. U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter as the attacks unfolded offering help to Britain. He also promoted his controversial travel ban as an extra level of safety for Americans. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks. Islamic State earlier on Saturday called on its followers to launch attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
