(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Minneapolis City Council Member Abdi Warsame said the intense focus on Officer Mohammed Noor's race in the shooting of Australian woman Justine Damond has left the Somali community in Minneapolis shaken. Speaking outside a cultural center in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood on Sunday (July 23), he specifically called out former Congresswoman Michelle Bachman for her recent comments insinuating Damond was shot because of cultural reasons. While he didn't give a direct opinion on Noor's reaction in the shooting, he vowed to seek justice for Justine Damond, and he did say it was unacceptable for the body cameras were off. Damond was shot last Thursday (July 15) by Noor after she was thought to have approached his police vehicle to report a possible sexual assault.
