(nats aerial marching) The protests in downtown St. Louis resumed peacefully Monday morning...hundreds marching arm-in-arm towards city hall to express their anger at last week's acquittal of former police officer Jason Stockley in the shooting death of Anthony Lamar Smith in 2011. But it was a different story just hours earlier, when for the third night in a row, peaceful protests gave way to violence. (nats) Police fought running battles with protesters. Windows were smashed. Trash cans were overturned. Furniture was thrown. More than 80 people were arrested. Some officers were treated by firefighters after being dowsed by an unknown liquid.
