British police arrest three more in London tube attack investigation

British police have arrested three more men over the bombing of a busy commuter train in west London last week which injured 30 people. Mia Womersley reports.

British police have arrested three men in Wales over the London train bomb attack. One of them, a 25-year-old, was detained on Tuesday (September 19) evening in the Welsh city of Newport. Police said they were also searching an address in the area. Thirty people were injured when the homemade explosive partially detonated on a packed commuter train in west London on Friday (September 15). Two other men remain in police custody and searches are ongoing at three further addresses. On Saturday (September 16), police arrested an 18-year-old man in the the seaport of Dover, where ferries depart for mainland Europe, and a 21-year-old in west London. The head of the Metropolitan Police's counter terrorism command said they continue to work on a fast moving investigation, adding that there has been a significant amount of activity since the attack. A total of 36 people have been killed in Britain this year in militant attacks.
