(SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) SGT. KEVIN PERLICH, SAYING: "It's with a heavy heart you've all been called here today…" Texas police say they have found a child's body while searching the city of Richardson for missing 3-year-old Sherine Mathews. (SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) SGT. KEVIN PERLICH, SAYING: "At this time, I want to let you know that a positive identification has not been made." Sgt. Kevin Perlich says police have been working 24/7 to find a child who went missing, October 7, after her adoptive father said he punished her for not drinking her milk. 37-year-old Wesley Matthews said, as punishment, he told Sherine to stand outside by herself at night near an alley behind her home. Matthew's alleges he went outside 15 minutes later to check on her, but she was gone. Matthew's didn't report her missing until about 5 hours later, which police and neighbors say, is concerning. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEIGHBOR, MARIA METURINO, SAYING: "If he really loved the little girl, why didn't he call 911 as soon as he found out the little girl was missing?" Matthew's has posted bond on charges of suspected child endangerment. (SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) SGT. KEVIN PERLICH, SAYING: "It was in a culvert beneath the road that we found the body." Police have not named any other suspects in Shireen Matthew's disappearance.
