ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) NASA launched a weather satellite on Saturday designed to help forecast droughts and forest fires. The high-tech satellite is designed to improve the accuracy of weather forecasts in the U.S. The Joint Polar Satellite System-1 lifted off on a United Launch Alliance Delta 2 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
