Google wins decade-long copyright battle with Oracle

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed Google a major legal victory, ruling that its use of Oracle Corp’s software code to build the Android operating system that runs most of the world’s smartphones amounted to "fair use" of the material and did not violate federal copyright law.
