Nov. 9 - Scores of people are trapped beneath rubble of hotels and other buildings after a deadly earthquake hit Turkey's eastern Van province, state television reports. The earthquake has destroyed at least seven buildings, including two hotels in Van city, and around 11 other structures in other parts of the region, the TRT Haber news channel reports. A TRT reporter says up to 70 people may have been staying at one of the hotels, without giving further details. Rescue workers are searching through rubble. Less than three weeks ago, a 7.6 magnitude quake struck just northeast of Van, killing some 600 people. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
