Devotees celebrate 'Magh Purnima' which marks the end of a month-long 'Kalpwas' or period of austerity. They camp on the banks of Sangam - a confluence of holy rivers Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati. Hindus believe bathing in holy rivers, giving donations to priests and feeding the poor on this day washes away the sins of their lifetime.
