As Tennis Australia CEO and tournament director for the Australian Open, Craig Tiley has seen first-hand what Tokyo’s Olympic organizers could learn from Melbourne’s experience of hosting a top level international sports event during the pandemic. Tiley says the past few months have also shown how much the global crisis has changed the role of leaders and the task of running large organizations – sporting or otherwise.
